Place pipe hangers and support rails automatically
AutoHanger is an add-in for Autodesk Revit. It places pipe hangers and support rails from rules you define yourself.
Three commands, one workflow
Add support rails
Hangers standing side by side are grouped onto a shared rail: against the structure, or suspended above or below the pipes.
Connect the hangers
For each hanger the supporting component above or below is located and the rod length is adjusted individually.
Spacing follows the pipework
- Nominal diameter
- A maximum support spacing per diameter band. Across a size change the tighter value applies.
- Geometry
- Level pipes and sloped pipes up to the configured slope limit.
- Fittings
- Clearance beside elbows, tees and reducers. Spacing carries on through the fitting.
- Components
- A separate clearance beside valves, accessories and equipment.
- Route
- The start, the ends and the branches of the connected network. Pipes running in parallel can be aligned onto a shared axis.
Every setting is saved as a rule set and is available on every further project. Rule sets are files on your computer and can be passed to another workstation unchanged.
