Hosting
Our host records the following data, transmitted by your browser, in what are known as log files:
IP address, the address of the previously visited website (referer request header), the date and time of the request, the time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time, the content of the request, the HTTP status code, the volume of data transferred, the website the request comes from, and information about your browser and operating system.
This is necessary to display our website and to ensure its stability and security. It corresponds to our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.
We do not evaluate these logs and have no direct access to them.
We use the following host to make our website available:
GitHub Inc.
88 Colin P Kelly Jr St
San Francisco, CA 94107
United States
It is a recipient of your personal data. This corresponds to our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR in not having to maintain a server on our own premises. The server location is the USA.
Further information on objection and removal options in relation to GitHub can be found in the GitHub privacy statement.
You have the right to object to this processing. Whether an objection succeeds is determined by weighing the interests involved.
The data is deleted as soon as the purpose of the processing no longer applies.
The processing described in this section is required neither by law nor by contract. The website cannot be guaranteed to function without it.
GitHub has implemented compliance measures for international data transfers. These apply to all worldwide activities in which GitHub processes the personal data of individuals in the EU, and are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Further information is available in the GitHub Data Protection Agreement.
Usage measurement
To understand which pages are read and how visitors find their way here, we use Plausible Analytics. The service processes the data on servers in Germany.
It records the page requested, the referring website, an approximate location at country level, and the browser, operating system and device type.
Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Your IP address is not retained: it is used only, together with the browser identification, to form a counting value that is deleted after 24 hours and cannot be reversed. Recognising you across several days, devices or websites is therefore not possible.
No usage profiles arise, and no data by which an individual could be identified. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a data-minimising measurement of how the website is used. You may object to this processing; write to the address given above.
Plausible describes the details in its data policy and its data processing agreement.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. Apart from the counting script named above, no content is loaded from third parties: fonts, graphics and videos are served from the same server as the website, and there is no contact form.
Your language choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key autohanger.lang, so the website appears in the same language on your next visit. The value is only written once you choose a language, never leaves your computer, and is never read by us. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
Contact by email
An email link on this website only opens your email application. A message reaches us only once you send it yourself.
If you send us an email, we process your address and the information in your message in order to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, and Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract.
We delete this data once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods apply.
Encryption
This website is served over HTTPS. The connection between your browser and the server is therefore encrypted and the content transmitted cannot be read by third parties.
Your rights
In respect of personal data concerning you, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR).
Where you have consented to processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
An informal message to the email address given above is enough to exercise these rights.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, lda.bayern.de.
